Antibodies for Beta-Amyloid

The monoclonal antibody 6D11 which recognizes deposits of β-amyloid 1-42 in brains of Alzheimer´s disease patients and transgenic mouse models very specifically, has a well characterized epitope specificity and is usable in different laboratory techniques. The 6D11 antibody appears to be suitable for the detection of disease-associated β-amyloid in senile plaques and associated with cerebral blood vessel in brain tissue from Alzheimer’s disease patients and from transgenic mouse models with β-amyloid pathology.
